The Village Parent Group is a guided sharing circle for parents of infants and toddlers. Over the course of 5 weeks, we will explore how to apply key Montessori principles to our parenting journey, while learning to tap into our own intuition and values. Led by ECE and Montessori infant-toddler teacher, Alison Potter, and storytelling artist, Peyton Le Barr, the group will share helpful knowledge on early childhood development and all things postpartum while offering a thoughtfully guided space to share your own journey and find support as we honour this vulnerable and wild stage of life. While this group is open to parents at any stage in their postpartum journeys, it is best suited to those with babies and toddlers.
The Toddler Community
Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 12:00pm, September - June

The perfect first step in the transition between home and school, The Toddler Community is a half-day program designed for toddlers approximately 15 months to 3 years old. With a maximum group size of 6 children, the toddlers get to experience living in a community of others under the gentle guidance of a trained Infant/Toddler Montessori Teacher. Our mornings include lots of outdoor time, preparing and sharing a wholesome snack together each day, and engaging in a wide variety of hands-on Montessori activities geared specifically to the needs and interests of this unique age group, focusing on skills such as concentration and independence, movement, art, language, self-care and environmental stewardship.

Nestlings
For babies 6 - 12 months old, with a parent or caregiver

A weekly gathering for babies from 6 months to 12 months old, along with a parent or caregiver, Nestlings is a relaxed and inviting place for parents to connect while spending time with their little one in a peaceful, baby-centred environment. Always positive and supportive, Nestlings is facilitated by a Montessori Infant/Toddler teacher and gives parents the opportunity to learn more about the Montessori philosophy, gentle parenting strategies, and simple and subtle observation and interaction techniques that help make parenting a joyful and rewarding experience.
